What to Expect on My 1st Visit

Your visit to a Naturopath could take longer than a medical doctor visit. Your first visit may last up to two hours, since the Naturopath most likely will talk to you about your lifestyle, habits, medical history and current health.

Patience is a virtue.

The Practice of Naturopathy

Embracing the motto "First Do No Harm", the practice of Naturopathy dates back to 3000 BC.  Holistic philosophy encompasses the use of fasting, herbal therapies, enemas, baths and cleansing diets to rid the body of toxins and restore health naturally.  Detoxing assists the body from any "dis-ease."

The father of medicine, Hippocrates (468-377 BC), recognized that disease was the disturbance of the balance of harmony within the body. The "doctor", which means "teacher" in Latin, would assist in restoring this balance with the help of the patient or client. Frank 'Doc' and Mary Burkhardt

The Practice of Naturopathy seeks to balance the mental, physical and emotional states of an individual, as a whole, commonly known as "holism."
