Essential Oils
History recorded as early as 2000 B.C. the first written evidence
that perfume was commonly used amongst the Indians of that era.
Oils were also used in ancient Egypt, with as many oils originating from China and India, as early as 1500 B.C. The practice of essential oils
dates back hundreds of thousands of years.
Essential oils are extracted from certain species of shrubs, trees, grasses, herbs, and flowers. The oil is extracted from the plant by
a variety of means, depending on the particular species. The most
common method is steam distillation.
The most effective way to apply essential oils is not orally, but, by external application, or inhalation. The methods include body oils, compresses, lotions, baths, perfumes, and room sprays. Inhalation
of essential oils, while enjoying a hot steam bath is both relaxing and therapeutic.
Unlike chemical drugs, essential oils do not remain in the body. Expulsion via urine and feces takes place with three to six hours in a healthy body.
There are about three hundred essential oils in general use today by professional pracitioners. The normal household could fulfill its needs with ten of these powerful wonders. The most commom use of essential oils in the modern world today is termed "aromatherapy."

The Essential Oil of Rose is extracted by steam distillation of fresh Damascus Rose (Rosa Damascena, as it is known among botanists) and is composed of hundreds of components, out of which the major contributors are Citronellol, Citral, Carvone, Citronellyl Acetate, Eugenol, Ethanol, Farnesol, Stearpoten, Methyl Eugenol, Nerol, Nonanol, Nonanal, Phenyl Acetaldehyde, Phenylmenthyl Acetate and Phenyl Geraniol. Why Damascus Roses? It is because they are the most fragrant ones and are believed to be the original red roses with strongest aroma and highest oil content.
Herbal Therapy
Herbalism is a traditonal folk medicine practice based on the use of plants. Plants themselves are natures chemical factories. In written record, the study of herbs dates back over 5,000 years to the Sumerians, who described well established medicinal uses for such plants as laurel, caraway, and thyme. Ancient
Egyptian medicine of 1000 B.C. are known to have used garlic, castor oil, coriander, mint, indigo, opium, and other herbs for medicine.
The use of, and search for, drugs and supplements, that are actually derived from plants, has accelerated in recent years. In fact, according to the World Health Organization, approximately 25% of modern drugs used in the United States have been derived from plants.
Traditional herbs most commonly used in our modern daily lifes are green, black and white teas, along with many cooking spices. Little does one realize the actual health benefits of eating an
onion, or a red hot chili pepper! To incorporate Herbal Therapy into ones daily nutritional regimen would bring a lifetime of health.
The Health Benefits of Aloe Vera
Aloe Vera gel is often thought as having one specific function: cooling and helping to heal sunburns. In fact, Aloe is an amazing plant with a wide ability to aid in the healing process, to protect, moisturize, and even extend life. It was used in ancient times for medicinal purposes, and its relevancy has not diminished today. Aloe's usefulness continues to grow as scientists study its properties and possible applications.
Aloe Vera is a cellular regenerator and has anti-bacterial and anti-fungal effects. These properties alone contribute to Aloe's place as one of nature's healthiest products. WorldwideHealth.com's Health Library lists magnesium lactate, an itch inhibitor, in the minerals contained in the plant. Therefore, in bringing relief to insect bites, acne, sunburns, rashes, and other topical conditions, Aloe makes sense.
But what about the less frequent uses of Aloe? Should Aloe be considered as an addition to diet and lifestyle? Aloe can purportedly do so much more than soothe irritated skin. Taken internally, it can be used as a laxative and to destroy certain bacteria or parasites in the intestines. Unsubstantiated claims include that it can help heal ulcers and settle a queasy stomach. There are a dozen uses for Aloe that have been integrated into modern alternative medicine, and scientists have been able to study some of these claims.
Dr. Timothy E. Moore's research on Aloe and dental health at the International Aloe Science Council (IASC) describes gel from the plant as having the ability to heal, control the accumulation of fluids, and reduce pain. He has also found that in denture patients, aloe can reduce inflammation and discomfort caused by fungi and bacteria. Other uses include post periodontal surgery and on cracks and lesions found inside and outside the mouth.
In a study performed by the Department of Physiology at the University of Texas Health Science Center, lab rats were given a 10% greater life span by ingesting Aloe. The animals showed lowered occurrences of various diseases including arterial thrombosis and leukemia. In addition, no adverse side effects were found in the rats on a diet that included Aloe.
While anyone considering alternative medicine to treat conditions should consult their physician first, Aloe may be a viable remedy for various ailments. Through observation and further tests, scientists have proven that the healing effects of Aloe extend beyond merely soothing sunburn. Future studies should bring credibility to other claims of Aloe's diverse medical benefits.
Color Therapy
The use of Color as a Therapy is a truly holistic, non-invasive and powerful therapy which dates back thousands of years; evidence of this can be found in ancient texts from India, China and Egypt. Color is simply light of varying wavelengths and, as such, is a form of energy that is used in Color Therapy.
This light energy affects all living cells (as we all know, without light all living things are affected). Used in the right way, these different frequencies of light, i.e. color, can have a profound and healing effect on all creation, human or otherwise. It is a well know scientific fact that everything has a vibration, that is to say that all things have their own vibration/frequency, and that includes US !! However, no complementary therapy should ever be considered as an alternative to orthodox medical advice.)
Magnetic Therapy
Who would have thought a household "gadget", such as a magnet, would be in every Japanese medicine cabinet, or as common to them as a
band aide is to an American? They must know something we are clueless about! As years passed, half way around the world, magnets continued to exhilarate the healing process in plants, animals and humans.
Ancient practitioners of China, Egypt, Greece and India have all believed in the healing properties of magnets. It is believed
powerful magnets can be used to help the body align itself
with the polarity of the earth.
Linis C. Pauling (1901-94), who won a Noble Prize for chemistry in 1954, discovered the blood had magnetic properties. This
indicated why a magnet stimulated and improved the flow of blood. Magnet Therapy is also believed to be another way to stimulate wound healing, and increase energy and vitality.
Ailments that magnet therapy is believed to help are:

Ear Coning
(Thermo Auricular Therapy)
Hopi Ear Candling (coning) is an ancient therapy, which was practiced by the North American Hopi Indians of Arizona, as a sacred ritual to cleanse and harmonise. Hopi translates to ‘peaceful people’.
The hollow candles are made from unbleached, organic cotton or linen; impregnated with beeswax, honey, St John’s Wort and medicinal herbs such as sage and chamomile. They have a safety filter at the base to prevent any debris from falling into the ear during the treatment.
When lit the candle creates a light chimney effect, massaging the ear drum and ear canal through vibration and warmth; drawing out wax and impurities; clearing the ear, sinuses and nose. This helps to balance the pressure in the ears, forehead & sinuses, creating a lighter feeling in the ear and head. A soft crackling sound may be heard during the treatment as the candle burns.
A facial massage is also carried out to improve circulation and lymphatic drainage, making it a very soothing and calming treatment.
Detox
In this day and age, environmental pollution begins in the womb. Toxic heavy metals such as mercury, lead,
and cadmium have polluted every aspect of our life. This includes the food we eat, the air we breathe, and the water we consume and bath in.
This vast increase of chemicals in our environment, food, and medicine has greatly altered the body's ability to rid itself of toxins. Many prominent scientists
believe it is the toxic overload which triggers many of today's health ailments.
Based on this information, we feel it is invaluable to cleanse the body of these toxins on a regular basis.
L.L. Magnetic Clay is highly recommended to assist in the detox process. Contact us for more details.
Ionic Spa
The body has the ability to get rid of toxins from polluted air, water and junk food by means of exhalation, perspiration and excretion. The problem comes when the rate of toxin intake exceeds the body’s natural ability to get rid of them. You start to feel drained and exhausted without any apparent reason. This is the body’s message that something is wrong and needs your attention. Ionic detox foot baths provide a safe, and effective way of quickly releasing large amounts of toxins from the body, without fasting or taking medications and will quickly renew your vitality and ability to cope with daily stress.
But the real benefits have much more to do with human bionergetics. Direct and facilitated detoxification pale in comparison to the widespread health benefits of ionic foot detox machines.

After the session is complete, you can go back to work, or just enjoy the relaxed feeling that typically follows the process. But don’t forget to drink plenty of water and take some mineral supplements because ionic foot baths pull out a great amount of minerals from the body.

Iridology
Iridology involves the examination of the iris. Every iris is totally unique, comparable to a fingerprint. Your iris provides a blueprint to your body through your eyes.

By examining the eye, the "Iridologist" is able to determine a persons overall state of health
and well-being. They are also able to tell which conditions a person has the potential to
develop, if they neglect their healthcare.
In summary, Iridology can also act as an important and useful early warning system.
Physical, or nutritional habits, may need to be addressed immediately.

Crystal Therapy
Crystals, like quartz and thousands of other gemstones, are not just for a childs stone collection or for making stunning jewelry. These precious gemstones are used as tools to balance the body, mind and spirit.

These photos show crystals being mined and photos of locally mined crystals.
In India to this very day, gems are ground to a powder and mixed with water, then drunk for their healing properties. This is called an "elixir."

Ammolite
This stone is unrivaled for its beauty, intensity and diversity of color. Ammonite fossils are extinct marine mollusks, which died out in the Late Cretaceous Period, 65 million years ago. They were fossilized in a rock formation known as bearpaw shale, and preserved and transformed into the radiant multi-colored stones we call ammolite.
The first people to collect ammolite were the Blackfoot Indians, who called it iniskim, or buffalo stone, and for many generations have considered it to bring luck and hold spiritual qualities. It has been said that ammolite is the rarest gem in the world, and it may well be true.
